BLACPINK’s Jennie is currently one of the most beloved and popular idols in the K-Pop industry so it is safe to assume that several management agencies are interested in having her as a client. On top of that, Jennie might have accidentally revealed that she will be leaving her current management agency, YG Entertainment, so all eyes are on her.
The South Korean artist participated in the latest episode of Dua Lipa’s podcast ‘Dua Lipa: At Your Service’ and opened up about her experiences as an idol. During the interview, she addressed several topics about her career such as her early days as a trainee which raised some questions about her future:
“The good thing about the label I was under was, not only they wanted us to be able to sing in Korean but we would cover so many pop songs.”
Her fans, the so-called BLINKS, immediately noticed that Jennie was probably talking about YG Entertainment and the rumors of her departure started to spread on social media. A few days ago, it was reported that all the members of BLACKPINK are currently negotiating their contract renewal so her answer just fueled the theories of them going their separate ways.
Although neither Jennie nor YG Entertainment has released any statement addressing the situation, her participation in Dua Lipa’s podcast left many unsolved questions regarding BLACKPINK’s future. The girl group’s contract is expected to expire around August but since there has not been any information about the contract renewal, the BLINKS are extremely worried.
