Actors from “Oppenheimer” drop out of the film’s premiere

The world of cinema is experiencing a pitched marketing battle for the first worldwide box office receipts. While Barbie fever has flooded the world with pink, there is another movie to be released that is among the most anticipated, and that is Oppenheimer, which has been the subject of debate in the last few hours, as actors from “Oppenheimer” drop out of the film’s premiere.

With the upcoming release on July 20, people can’t wait to see this new film by Christopher Nolan, which many people assure will be a great production, but, recently there have been problems in the press conferences that the actors have had to promote it, causing them to abandon the premiere of Oppenheimer for an uncomfortable reason.

Since a few weeks ago in the United States has been living a strike by the Hollywood actors union, who on Thursday July 13 began a big strike after negotiations for the renewal of an agreement with the alliance of Film and television ended without success, this led many people to take to the streets to protest, since all industries ignore their demands.

These strikes occurred at the same time as the release of Oppenheimer, so several actors involved in Christopher Nolan’s film took the decision to withdraw from the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square theater in London to participate in the march demanding new salary improvements, as well as image rights, among other demands. Robert Downey Jr, Cilliam Murphy, Florence Pugh, and Emily Blunt led the march in the UK.

“Well, we wanted to come out and support in the fight, because we’re proud of what we do and we work hard for it, so if they call a strike, we’re going to be ready for it,” said actor Matt Damon.
