Madonna has finally released a statement after suffering a shocking near-death experience a couple of weeks ago when she was found unresponsive in her apartment in New York City due to a bacterial infection. Since then, she has kept a low profile even after being released from the intensive care unit which her fans found extremely concerning.
On July 10, the Queen of Pop addressed her health status for the first time and talked about the unfortunate incident where she almost lost her life through an Instagram post:
“My first thought when i woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour.”
On top of that, the American singer revealed that the North American leg of her upcoming ‘Celebration Tour’, which was set to kick off on July 15 in Canada, will be completely rescheduled and the tour will now being on October 14 in the United Kingdom with 4 sold out shows at The O2 Arena in London.
Although Madonna’s fans were worried about her health, her manager Guy Oseary also released a statement ensuring everyone that the artist’s life is not at risk anymore but that her recovery is their main priority at the moment.
Finally, Madonna herself wanted to apologize to everyone who was eagerly waiting to see her on tour so that is why she decided to share an emotive message on social media where she thanked her followers for all the support and words of encouragement.
