Kate Middleton and Prince William are two of the most beloved members of the Royal Family and their relationship is the perfect example that fairytales do come true. In their most recent appearance during King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s coronation in Scotland, Kate was captured playfully slapping William’s butt in front of everyone.
The Prince and Princess of Wales traveled to Edinburgh to accompany Charles and Camilla during their second coronation which took place in Scotland. Though the couple were cordial with each other throughout the event, it was unusual to see Kate playfully patting Prince during the ceremony.
The funny moment between the two was captured on camera and it immediately went viral on social media as public displays of affection are extremely uncommon among the members of the Royal Family. Some people have gone as far as saying that it is forbidden for them to be affectionate in public.
At the coronation, Kate Middleton was seated next to Prince William when she was seen smiling at him, whispering something in his ear, and then slapping his butt. This genuine display of affection brought back memories of the two at the BAFTAs where they were also seen being affectionate to each other and left many fans of the Royal Family surprised.
Even though these kinds of gestures seem to not be accepted by royalty, it is not weird to see Prince William and Kate Middleton showing their love in public. As a result, they have quickly become the United Kingdom’s favorite couple.
