Queen Camilla Parker and King Charles III were crowned as the new sovereigns of the United Kingdom on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in what is now considered one of the most successful coronations ever. However, their second coronation where they were presented with the honors of Scotland was not as well received by the people of this country.
Even though the Scottish people were huge supporters of the late Queen Elizabeth II, the same cannot be said about Charles and Camilla as they both have always been extremely controversial figures and Camilla still is not accepted as the legitimate Queen for some people.
The main reason why the Scottish people still do not like King Charles III and Queen Camilla is due to their past issues with the late Princess Diana. Since the moment Charles and Diana got divorced, the former has sought strategies to increase his popularity in the United Kingdom which have been unsuccessful so far and this will probably not going to change anytime soon.
To this day, the people in the United Kingdom still remember what the Royal Family did to Princess Diana and how Camilla Parker was King Charles III’s mistress. On top of that, the King has been deemed as weak as he couldn’t prevent his family from falling apart after Prince Harry publicly attacked them in his memoir, Spare, and tainted the family’s image forever.
