In BTS‘ new project, the book titled ‘Beyond the Story: 10 Year Record of BTS‘, group member and rapper Suga revealed his desire to become a licensed psychological therapist in order to support future artists that deal with the same struggles that he went through.
The long road to success that Suga and his groupmates have traveled was not easy, and he recently described the anxiety they felt with the worldwide fame they’ve achieved as a “shadow” that haunts them. Now, the idol shows his interest in psychology to understand and express his emotions through music.
“The big reason I studied psychology was that it’s very useful for my music. There’s a lot to be gained by learning about the formal definitions of emotions“, Suga explains.
Despite his commitment to his music career, the South Korean singer revealed that another dream he has is to one day become a licensed psychological therapist, which comes from wanting to help others in the industry with struggles similar to the ones he experienced.
“I have two dreams, and one is to be an old, white-haired man who still stands on stage and plays his guitar and sings, and the other is to become a licensed psychological therapist“.
“I looked for it and it takes a long time, so it won’t be easy to start right now, but I would love to get a license one day“.
“Because I want to help those who come after me who do a job similar to ours”
This sincere desire of Suga to want to help another in their own path of healing and self-knowledge inspired many fans around the world who support and admire him more than ever in all his dreams.
