Barbie is one of the most anticipated movies right now, as it’s about a pink world starring the beautiful Margot Robbie, who is currently on a worldwide tour promoting her date, which will reach everywhere… apparently. The big ‘Barbie’ movie is banned in Vietnam.
Since the news broke that Barbie would be invading the world, people showed great support for the movie and have shared on social networks the great excitement they feel, unfortunately, it will not be able to be in every country, as it has been announced that Vietnam has banned the movie.
The authorities of this country publicly confirmed the banning of the movie ‘Barbie’ for a scene in which appears the map of the China Sea with a dotted perimeter line, this made some in this country think that they are the territorial claims of China on the Vietnamese territory, representation that did not like much, leading to take this measure.
It was Vi Kien Thanh, representative of the Vietnamese Cultural Ministry’s film department, who confirmed to Thanh Nien media that ‘Barbie’ will not be shown in this country. “We decided not to license the American movie of the doll in Vietnam because it contains an offensive image for the country” this is due to the struggle of Asian countries for the territory of the Spratly and Paracel islands.
