DC Studios and Warner Bros. might be regretting not canceling THE FLASH: “Less money would have been lost”

‘The Flash’, DC Studios and Warner Bros. latest movie, is already considered a complete failure as the film was not able to impress critics and its box office numbers are a disaster. Unsurprisingly, people blamed Ezra Miller’s attitude and behavior for the underwhelming reception of the movie and some of them even went as far as saying that it should have been canceled.

After ‘The Flash’ opened in theaters, general audiences, including fans of the DC Extended Universe, were not afraid to criticize it and pointed out how bad the CGI looked. In the same vein, some of them even called it “the worst superhero ever made” due to its confusing plot and unnecessary cameos.

As of today, the movie has only grossed $216 million worldwide but it is getting closer to finally surpassing its production budget of $220 million, although this number does not include the money spent on marketing.

Due to this, DC fans could not help but compare how much money DC Studios and Warner Bros. would have saved if they had canceled the movie. According to several users on Twitter, “less money would have been lost” by canceling it because studios only receive 50% of the money earned at the box office.
