BTS is currently on hiatus as several of its members have begun their mandatory military service in the South Korean army over the past few months. In addition, it looks like V and Jungkook would be the next ones to do so, however, their fans, the so-called ARMY, are happy because there are reports claiming that they could be enlisting in the military together.
According to K-Media and several other Asian media outlets, both Idols are set to begin their mandatory military service in December of 2023 which would make them the third and fourth members of the boy band to do it.

The speculations from the media became stronger after V admitted in a Weverse livestream that he would like to enlist in the military alongside the Golden Maknae. On top of that, their management agency, Big Hit Music, recently released a statement revealing that most of the members of BTS will enlist in the military before the end of 2023:
“Despite being eligible for postponement, Jimin, V, and Jungkook decided to prioritize their military service and reunite with fans sooner. Their aim is to minimize any gaps and continue BTS as a whole group after coming back.”
The ARMY is anxious about what could happen in the following months. However, they are prepared to support both V and Jungkook as they embark on their journey as solo artists before enlisting in the military and will use this as an opportunity to say goodbye to them.
