James Gunn, co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios, announced that he finally found the new actor who is going to replace Henry Cavill in the upcoming ‘Superman: Legacy’ movie which is set to release in 2025. In addition, he revealed that an actress for the role of Lois Lane has also been cast.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that David Corenswet will replace Henry Cavill as Superman. Although his trajectory is short, he has already shown his immense talent in the horror movie ‘Pearl’ and the HBO miniseries ‘We Own This City’ which make him the perfect pick for bringing this iconic superhero to life.
Similarly, Rachel Brosnahan will replace Amy Adams and will become the new Lois Lane. She had previously starred in Prime Video’s ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ which earned her an Emmy nomination and subsequent win. Thanks to this, she was easily one of the top choices for the role.
Although people were skeptical at the beginning, James Gunn confirmed the good news via Twitter and congratulated both David and Rachel for their good job. After the news broke, fans of The DC Extended Universe (DCEU) immediately welcomed both actors to the DC family and wished them a lot of success.
Accurate! (They are not only both incredible actors, but also wonderful people). https://t.co/1FtwYIDeYj
