The famous pop singer was invited by the Duchess of Sussex to be interviewed on her podcast ‘Archetypes’, but she flatly refused through her manager, despite having received a letter written in full royal style. This was stated by the Wall Street Journal.

Among the many reasons for this “snub” is Taylor Swift’s historical reluctance to participate in interviews where she will surely have to give active political statements, as this caused repercussions some time ago.

Another reason that may have caused the artist’s negative response is that next month Taylor will re-release her album Speak Now (Taylor Swift’s Version), and this is undoubtedly a constant tension with digital streaming platforms, such as Spotify.

Also, let’s not forget that in 2014, Taylor removed her entire music catalog from Spotify, and just a year later, drafted a manuscript to Apple to sue their “exaggerated” lack of compensation to artists during the free trial period of their digital platform.
