Princess Diana was definitely one of the most important royal figures ever. Throughout her public life, the princess was dedicated to setting trends and becoming a public figure in her entirety. Now, a Princess Diana sweater will be auctioned and the price is exhorbitant.
It is not the first time that items of relevant figures are put up for auction for great prices, but the amount of money people are willing to pay for original items can be exhorbitant.
The iconic piece from her closet known for being a red sweater with a white sheep print, with a single black sheep, will be auctioned between August 31 and September 13, and although it is clearly a piece that would not have a fair value, the starting price of the auction has really surprised all internet users.
It is stated that this prestigious sweater being one of the most remembered will be auctioned, as reported by the auction house Sotheby’s, for an estimated value between 50,000 and 75,000 euros (55,000 and 83,000 dollars). As explained by the global fashion director Cynthia Houlton: “this is an exceptional piece, carefully preserved, and that carries the grace, charm and spectacular eye for fashion of Princess Diana”.
It is undoubtedly the most iconic piece that any collector could have and has caused a great stir because since 1994 this sweater from Warm & Wonderful was discontinued.
