Every year there are a great number of titles that are awaited in the cinema, as everyone loves a good movie, unfortunately, there are bad streaks for different studios and it would seem that DC is in one at the moment. DC movies keep failing in theaters and the company is in danger of going into a serious crisis.
In recent months, the DC Universe has been facing harsh criticism and multiple failures in its releases on the big screen, since for many fans of this franchise it is difficult to understand “why have they handled in such a pathetic way the different superhero stories they have to present?
The movies are based on superheroes that have a huge audience and fan base that consumes them, unfortunately, they have not agreed at all with the movies that DC has offered them, causing most of them to fail at the projections they had.
The general rule of success for movies nowadays is that each one of them can double the investment they had for the production, this includes marketing, distribution and some other costs for the realization of the film, and among the biggest losses of DC we have Black Adam, which was the first to generate large losses, as many had high expectations and not even Dwayne Johnson could save this movie from being on the floor, reaching losses of up to 126 million dollars.
In the list of failures follows Shazam: The Fury of the Gods, a movie that seems not to have mattered to anyone, having losses of up to 116 million dollars, and finally we find the new movie The Flash, where the DC universe and Warner Bros wanted to make the best of the best; however, nothing could go worse, as the film disappointed millions of fans who expected a better adaptation and a better job by the actors who were part of it, having losses of up to 230 million dollars currently.
