Princess Kate Middleton‘s brown hair is surely the envy of many of the royals, but it also hides a mark that comes from her childhood, a scar on the left side of her head right on the temple, did she have an accident?
The Princess of Wales has always had a healthy and shiny hair, which has also been highlighted by royal fans. However, the wavy strands of her hair have revealed the large scar on her head. What not many know is that this mark is something she shares with her husband, Prince William, as he also has a scar on the left side of his head, which is very rarely noticed.
Kate Middleton’s scar was first spotted in 2011, when the princess attended her first British royal engagement, at an elegant dinner at Clarence House. Later that evening, a spokesperson issued a statement explaining the reason why the princess had this large mark on her head, and stated that it was due to an operation Kate had as a child.
The statement explained, “The scar is related to a childhood surgery“, and they also confirmed that it was “a very serious surgery“. However, the details of the operation were kept under wraps because they were private matters.
To answer the question of many; was it an accident?, expert surgeon John Scurr, who is a consultant at the Lister Hospital in London, opined that it was highly unlikely that the scar was the result of a brain tumor. “I doubt that it is a serious disease, I would rather say that it is the result of the removal of some arteriovenous malformation, practically a birthmark“, explained the professional.
