BTS is one of the most successful acts of the last decade both in South Korea and on an international level. Recently, their fans, the so-called ARMY, found the ultimate proof that they had already left a mark on music history due to their immense cultural impact as the group has already started appearing in history books.
The South Korean boy band appeared in the textbook ‘World in the Making: A Global History, Volume 2.’ More specifically, they are featured in the music portion of the 1989-current section of the book. The ARMY who have the book did not hesitate to share the photographs showing the part of the book where they are included and immediately went viral on social media.
According to them, this serves as proof that BTS has changed the music industry forever and their influence is undeniable and deserving of being referenced in history books. Although there is not much information about what the book actually tackles in relation to the boy band, a small phrase from it was posted online: “The group had both imitators and hundreds more young individuals aspiring to join in.”
After the photos were posted online, several members of the ARMY all around the world rushed to purchase the textbook to have a physical copy of this great achievement for BTS. Now, they can proudly say that their boys are part of one of the most influential boy bands in history.
