In recent days, streaming platform Netflix revealed the shocking details of the second season of ‘Squid Game‘, the hit Asian series that broke the internet with its first installment and left many fans wanting for more.
After its successful premiere in 2021, the series broke several reproductions records and received several important awards in the industry. Now, it’s back in the spotlight with new revelations for its second installment.
At Netflix’s ‘TUDUM‘ event held recently in São Paulo, Brazil, the production company thrilled fans with a short teaser of what’s to come in ‘Squid Game 2‘ revealing shocking details.
According to the platform’s new revelations, in this sequel “the characters you’ve been waiting for will be back for more“, which means that some important characters from the first installment will return such as Lee Byung-hun playing the masked man and the actor who brought the detective Hwang Joon-ho to life.
Moreover, they also confirmed the participation of beloved actor Lee Jung-Jae, the charismatic main character, in the new production. They also added iconic moments from the first series to create excitement and finally it was revealed four new characters, Yim Si-Wan, Kang Ha-Neul, Park Sung-Hoon and Yang Dong-Geun.

On the other hand, Netflix also announced that the filming of this sequel began just this 2023, so it is expected to premiere in middle of 2024, and we can only wait for the platform to announce more details of this long-awaited second installment of ‘Squid Game’.
