Dior, the renowned French luxury fashion brand, has officially denied the alleged contract with American actress Meghan Markle, after numerous media outlets claimed that the wife of Prince Harry was going to become one of the official figures of the company. As a result, the Duchess of Sussex is currently without any lucrative contract, a situation that could leave her in financial limbo.
After several days of rumors spreading that Meghan Markle was going to be the next face of Dior, a spokesperson for the fashion house in Paris confirmed to WWD Portal that such rumors are unfounded. Also, it was stated that no meetings have taken place with Meghan Markle or any of her legal representatives recently, therefore, no contract exists nor has been negotiated.
This scenario puts the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, the prince Harry, in a truly difficult situation, as it was recently announced that the couple had terminated their contract with the streaming platform Spotify, which aired their podcast “Archetypes” from their production company, Archewell Audio.
Some British news outlets, such as the Daily Mail, claimed that if the Duchess of Sussex joined Dior as one of their ambassadors, her financial situation would improve dramatically, with potential earnings of up to 15 million dollars per month.
However, as confirmed by the French brand itself, these rumors are entirely false, and Meghan Markle will not be part of their team.
