George R.R. Martin revealed the details of the new Game of Thrones franchise series

George R.R. Martin, the author of the fantasy novels on which the iconic and acclaimed series ‘Game of Thrones’ was based, has provided some details about the new prequel that HBO has planned and announced last April. The writer didn’t hesitate to specify what is expected for this new production, capturing the attention of fans.

The announced ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel, ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’, will also be authored by George R.R. Martin, who will oversee the writing of the scripts for this new chapter.

Furthermore, the author stated on his website that the series has been greenlit for a first season, which will encompass the three works that make up the book of the same name to tell the story. “Our premiere season will be an adaptation of the first of the three published novels, ‘The Hedge Knight,’ the story of how Dunk & Egg first met during a tournament at Ashford Meadow.”

George continued to provide more details to the ‘Game of Thrones’ fans:

“The pilot script is already written, and I think it’s fantastic. It was written by Ira Parker, who is no stranger to Westeros. He was part of the writing team with Ryan Condal for the first season of House of the Dragon and wrote the fourth episode of the first season of Hot D, ‘King of the Narrow Sea.'” However, the wordsmith assured that there is still no set date for the series premiere or even “for the show to start filming… but the writing is underway,” he affirmed.

Despite this, fans appreciated the details provided by George R.R. Martin, as it is a clear confirmation of the new Game of Thrones prequel, which undoubtedly promises to be a great success.
