Aaron Taylor-Johnson joins the Spider-Man universe in the recent trailer for Marvel Studios‘ upcoming production, “Kraven the Hunter”. Aaron will portray the iconic antihero Sergei Kravinoff in this spin-off set from the MCU: Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The actor had previously appeared in a film by the giant of the film industry, “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. Now, in this new film, he will bring to life the popular antihero known as Kraven The Hunter, alongside Alessandro Nivola, Ariana DeBose, Christopher Abbott, and Russell Crowe.
A brief synopsis of this film suggests that it will be a visceral story about how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains was created, set long before his notorious rivalry with Spider-Man. According to Variety magazine, the 33-year-old Taylor shared a few jokes about his new role in this film during the ‘CineEurope’ conference held in Barcelona in May. The actor expressed his appreciation for the idea that his character is not an alien or a sorcerer.
“He’s just a human with convictions, a hunter. He’s a protector of the natural world and animals. I think he’s a very, very cool character. Plus, he’s one of Marvel’s most iconic and notorious antiheroes, the number one rival of the web-slinger,” Aaron Taylor-Johnson explained.
The actor wanted to make it clear that he was very excited to portray Kraven in this new film, which we will soon see on the big screen. For now, you can enjoy the epic trailer.
