King Charles III’s relationship with Prince Harry has been going downhill since the latter gave up on his royal titles in 2020 and moved to the United States to start a new life with his wife, Meghan Markle. To make things worse, Charles may never forgive Harry for insulting Queen Camilla Parker publicly on several occasions.
According to Harry himself, he and Prince William begged their father to not marry Camilla Parker but he completely ignored them and made her his priority back in 2005. 17 years later, it looks like the Duke of Sussex’s feelings towards the royal couple persist and some royal experts even believe that a reconciliation between the two is unlikely as “there are no plans for Harry and the sovereign to meet in the near future.”
On top of that, Harry spoke on American television for the first time to promote the publication of his memoir, ‘Spare’, earlier this year. During the ‘Prince Harry: 60 Minutes’ interview, he told Anderson Cooper that Camilla Parker was “dangerous” and a “villain” as she was desperately looking to rehabilitate her image. However, these comments did not sit well with the King.
According to a close friend from the Royal Family, King Charles III may never forgive Prince Harry for insulting Queen Camilla Parker in public as he does not take well any criticism towards her:
“The door will never be bolted shut. But they are a very obstinate family and nobody is about to be the first to apologize. Charles certainly doesn’t believe he has anything to apologize for. He was dismayed and deeply hurt by what Harry said about him and about Camilla in his book.”
It is uncertain if the Royal Family will ever recover from all the controversies and scandals but royal followers are hopeful that they will be able to solve all their differences in the future and get together again.
