Kate Middleton paid homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II during her appearance at the Trooping the Colour parade on June 17. During the event which commemorates King Charles III’s first official birthday as the sovereign of the United Kingdom, Kate caught everyone’s attention with her beauty and the outfit she was wearing.
This year’s Trooping the Colour was extremely important for Charles and the Royal Family as this is the first time the event is celebrated since Queen Elizabeth II passed away in 2022. As a result, several royal members, more especially the Princess of Wales, made sure to pay homage to her to ensure that her legacy lives on.
During the event, Kate wore an Andrew Gn emerald coat dress which caused a heartwarming reaction in the British people as they immediately understood that Kate was paying homage to Elizabeth II. Just before her death, the queen used a similar dress during one of her last appearances on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
Although Kate Middleton did not confirm her intentions, royal followers and the international media were quick to point out the similarities between Kate Middleton’s dress and the ones Queen Elizabeth II used to wear in public during the last few years of her 70-year reign.
