Meryl Streep reveals she was miserable playing Miranda Priestly

One of her most iconic roles is undoubtedly Miranda Presley, from the movie The Devil Wears Prada, where she plays a very successful but calculating and work-focused woman. Apparently, the renowned actress confessed that she felt miserable playing that role.

According to Emily Blunt, it was scary, “She was amazing and also a little scary in that movie,” said the actress about Meryl Streep in the most recent episode of Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’ series.

The 73-year-old actress, Meryl Streep informed ‘Entertainment Weekly’ that while she was “miserable” in her trailer, she could hear the rest of the film’s cast whispering and laughing.

Emily Blunt talked about the fear she felt for Meryl Streep’s character due to the fact that Streep did an excellent job with her performance, which caused her to look terrifying on the film set.
