K-Pop fans call to sabotage HBO series ‘The Idol’ despite BLACKPINK’s Jennie participation

Jennie, the member of the girl group BLACKPINK, has become a trend on social networks after her debut as an actress in the controversial HBO series ‘The Idol‘, which has been involved in controversy due to many fans calling for sabotage the production despite the participation of the artist.

Despite the fact that some of her fans and viewers praised the idol’s dance steps, others criticized the singer’s unexpected performance in the series that premiered on June 4th due to a change of director that alleged led the production to take a different direction, a more sensual one.

In addition, due to the great influence of the K-Pop idol, many fans and netizens on social networks criticized and accused the program of using the South Korean artist to attract their loyal fans as audiences to the series with her participation.

Although the series was successful, many fans were angry in the networks planning a sabotage of it, because in the first chapter of the few that have been released the idol is only seen in a scene dancing provocatively with some men causing mixed reactions.

Because of this, the member of the K-Pop group has received a lot of hate, for this reason her fans have come out in her defense and encourage other fans and viewers to sabotage the other chapters of the HBO series as a way to support Jennie.
