Prince Harry is in the world news all the time. First it was because of his relationship scandals, then because of the book he published about his family and now because of the lawsuit he is facing against one of the most important newspapers in the UK, but Prince Harry has not been the first member of the royal family to be in court.
And while it had been reported that he was the first royal to face a court case, new information claims that someone else in the royal family long before him had been involved in a lawsuit.
It has been reported that more than 130 years ago who was the eldest son of Queen Victoria, Prince Edward VII had to be in front of the courts and not once, but twice, so it is now assured that Prince Harry has not been the first royal to be in front of a court. The prince in question was accused in the divorce process of a woman with whom it is claimed he was involved in an affair, which he flatly denied.
The man who was the great-grandfather of Queen Elizabeth II, was also involved in a defamation case against a man who accused him of having cheated playing cards, a case that the press at the time declared as the “Royal Baccarat Scandal”.
