Prince Harry is back in the spotlight after returning to the United Kingdom to represent himself in court in the case against Mirror Group Newspapers for allegedly hacking his phone to obtain information about his private life. The case is currently gaining a lot of attention online and even Charles Spencer, Princess Diana’s brother, showed his support for Harry on Twitter.
Earlier this week, a Daily Mail reporter accused the Duke of Sussex of being obsessed with his ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, after he mentioned her a lot during his testimony. However, the 9th Earl Spencer was quick to post a blunt message on the social media platform to defend him and show his support.
Royal experts highlighted that Charles Spencer is one of the few allies Prince Harry has inside British royalty since giving up on his royal title in 2020. During that same year, Harry decided to distance himself from the Royal Family and move to the United States to live a calmer life with Meghan Markle and his children.
Since the hearings began, Spencer has posted several messages supporting his nephew amid the legal battle he is currently facing at the London High Court. In addition, a verdict has not been reached yet so it is highly likely that the hearings will continue.
Pathetic, @amandajplatell – you have no shame, and even less credibility. Last time I heard from you, you were guilty of libelling me, as your employer at @DailyMailUK agreed. Now you’re put up (by them?) to misrepresent significant legal evidence as if it was something trivial. https://t.co/rFPLEcDtk9
