Prince Harry had to travel to the United Kingdom to represent himself in court in the legal battle against Mirror Group Newspapers for allegedly hacking his phone with the intention of obtaining information about his private life. During his second second day in court, Harry opened up about his previous relationship with Chelsy Davy.
During the three-hour deposition, the Duke of Sussex revealed new details about his past romance with the Zimbabwean businesswoman and how the tabloids ruined his relationship with their misleading news. Between 2004 and 2011, Harry was the subject of various rumors, such as attending a strip club, while dating Davy.
“Every single time one of these articles was written it had an effect on my life. My girlfriend’s number was bizarrely in the hands of Mirror journalists. Very suspicious that they had her number, I don’t believe she would give any journalist her number.”
Finally, Prince Harry also reiterated that he never provided the media with any information about his relationship so the only way they could have accessed it is through illegal means. According to him, the continuous harassment and lies that he and Chelsy Davy endured from the British tabloids were the reason why their relationship came to an end.
