Prince William and Kate Middleton are one of the most beloved members of the royal family because of their constant charity work and willingness to help those in need. Earlier this week, the couple reacted to the news of the robbery at St. Thomas Church, a place that they have visited before.
Steve Bunting, the priest of the church, revealed through a Facebook post that there was a robbery at the food bank and that some other objects such as toys for kids were stolen. He also gave an interview with ITV NEWS to talk about what happened:
“We opened up on Monday to move our food into our church where we give the food away and all the bags have been taken. All the existing food supplies have gone and those other items as well — a bike and some children’s toys from our baby charity.”
After the news broke, the Prince and Princess of Wales were notified of what happened and they reacted just as everyone expected: They were outraged by the robbery but they were immediately willing to help. Bunting also revealed that they did not hesitate on reaching out: “The Prince and Princess of Wales contacted us earlier to offer their love and support.”
On top of that, it was also reported that they will donate food and other items to help the community of St. Thomas Church recover from the robbery. It is safe to say that Prince William and Kate Middleton have shown once again their immense empathy for others and their commitment to the British people.
