Prince Andrew resigned from all his public duties in 2020 due to his alleged connections to Jeffrey Epstein. In 2019, he gave an interview with BBC Newsnight to address the matter and deny all the allegations. However, a series of newly leaked emails might prove otherwise and, as a result, people are now demanding that he speak with the FBI.
According to the leak, Epstein sent an email introducing the Duke of York as an important investor in 2011. However, this contradicts a statement that the Royal Family had previously released and that assured that he cut all ties with the American sex offender in 2010.
Similarly, Andrew also admitted that he stopped interacting with Epstein in that year during his interview with the BBC and said that “it was the wrong decision to go and see him in 2010.” As a result of this, now several victims are calling for the emails to be used as proof that Andrew lied to make him cooperate with the investigation.
They are currently demanding that Prince Andrew speak with the FBI after refusing to do it for the last couple of years. The victim’s spokesperson, Spencer Kuvin, talked to the Mirror about the matter: “It appears that either Epstein was highly overselling his relationship with Prince Andrew or that the duke may not have been entirely truthful about when his friendship ended.”
