Camille Vásquez, Johnny Depp’s attorney in the trial against Amber Heard, breaks her silence one year after the verdict

Camille Vásquez gained a lot of attention last year for being involved in the Depp v. Heard trial. During the high-profile case, she was one of the attorneys in charge of representing Johnny Depp against his ex-wife Amber Heard and, one year later, she finally decided to break her silence about her experience.

The 38-year-old attorney is considered one of the key figures in the case and she is often credited for being the one who secured a favorable verdict for Depp. Although she did not comment on the controversial trial at the time, it looks like she is finally ready to do it as she discussed what happened in an interview with People magazine.

Camille revealed that she and her legal team still reach out to the actor on a regular basis to check on his well-being. She also addressed the public’s opinion on the final verdict and reiterated Depp’s innocence:

“Ms. Heard did pay Mr. Depp, not the other way around. I want to make that very, very clear. The judgment still stands. It will always still stand for the remainder of time. And Mr. Depp will be donating the money that Ms. Heard paid to settle the appeal to a number of charities.”

Camille Vásquez closed the interview by mentioning that Johnny Depp’s birthday is coming up soon and that she is sure that he will celebrate it with a big party even if he is still recording from his ankle injury. On top of that, she also revealed that she might write a book in the future about her career and, of course, this case.
