ENHYPEN’s Ni-Ki recently revealed that he is deeply inspired by Jimin of BTS. As part of the promotional cycle of the boy band’s new song ‘Bite Me’, the idol was interviewed by Weverse Magazine and he was not afraid of confessing that BTS, more especially Jimin, has been a great source of inspiration for him during his comeback.
During the interview, the Japanese singer revealed that Jimin is the member of BTS that he admires the most and that he has learned a lot from him and praised his amazing dancing skills:
“I love the way JIMIN from BTS dances so I make it a point to study him very closely. The song “Bite Me” is very conceptual and we have to convey that through our movements, which I think JIMIN does very well. So I use him as my reference during our practices.”
On top of that, he also explained that Jimin has always been a huge influence since the beginning of his career and that he has had the luck of collaborating with him:
“I still can’t believe we shot a TikTok together. I auditioned with his song ‘Lie’ so it was a huge honor to film a TikTok with him, just the two of us. He was so kind and nice. I enjoyed every second of it.”
It is safe to say that BTS is one of the most influential K-Pop acts in the current landscape of the genre and it is nice to see that several idols who have been inspired by them have also been able to find a lot of success following their steps, just like Ni-Ki.
