King Charles III together with the Band of the Welsh Guards demonstrated their admiration for the late Tina Turner who passed away a couple of days ago. They paid homage to the legacy of the legendary musician outside Buckingham Palace and the gesture was well-received by the British people.
On May 24, the world received the tragic news of Tina Turner’s death. The Queen of Rock passed away at the age of 83 after struggling with a disease that ended up deteriorating her health massively. She was in Switzerland, the country where she had been living since several years ago after leaving the United States.
Just a few days after her death, King Charles III decided to pay homage to Tina Turner outside Buckingham Palace. The Band of the Welsh Guards showed his respect by playing their own version of one of her songs, ‘The Best’ during the Changing the Guard.
After the video was posted online, it immediately went viral and the online community applauded the homage from the British royalty because it demonstrates that King Charles III recognizes Tina Turner as one of the biggest musicians of all time.
