Johnny Depp recently returned to the United States after a successful appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. However, it is now being reported that he had to postpone several upcoming events because he suffered an accident that would leave him on crutches for a long period.
Earlier this month, the American actor traveled to France to promote his latest movie, ‘Jeanne Du Barry’, and people were excited about his return to the big screen. Unfortunately, he suffered an accident during one of the many events that he attended and injured his ankle.
After returning to America, Deep was hoping to rekindle his career and was also planning to tour with his band, Hollywood Vampires, which is currently gaining a lot of attention. However, they had to delay their tour in the United States, which was set to start in a few days, due to the actor’s injury.
On May 29, his bandmates Alice Cooper and Joe Perry addressed Johnny’s unfortunate accident and revealed that they made the difficult decision of rescheduling their shows. On top of that, they also wished Depp a speedy recovery so they can start touring together soon.
It looks like Johnny Depp’s doctor advised him to avoid any kind of activity that involves traveling as he should be resting a lot to ensure a successful and speedy recovery. As a result, the actor will take a break so his ankle can heal and all his upcoming public appearances in the next couple of weeks have been postponed.
