Prince Andrew is currently causing a stir inside the royal family after he refused to comply with King Charles III’s orders. The King reportedly asked him to move out of the Royal Lodge as there are plans to make it Prince William and Kate Middleton’s new home.
According to Entertainment Daily, Andrew does not want to live in Frogmore Cottage because it is considerably smaller than his current mansion. The Royal Lodge has almost 30 rooms and he has been living there with his daughters and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, for almost 20 years now.
Jordan James, a public relations expert, recently commented on the situation and advised the Duke of York to comply with Charles’ orders as people might think that his attitude is childish:
“This is, admittedly, a tricky situation, and if Prince Andrew hadn’t been steeped in scandal I feel the nation would feel the decision unfair. But with his reputation firmly in tatters and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge vying for the national spotlight (and winning). I think it would be best for Andrew to bow out gracefully, lest he look even more like a toddler throwing his toys out of the pram.”
Some people think that King Charles III wants to keep Prince Andrew out of the spotlight after he was accused of sexually assaulting a minor and that is why he asked him to move out. He is looking to improve the image of the royal family which has been heavily affected by all the scandals.
