Princess Leonor of Spain prepares to join the army in a couple of months

Princess Leonor, the daughter of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain, completed high school a few days ago. Although she completed this significant stage, her parents, the kings of Spain, already have plans for the future heir to the throne.

There have been rumors recently that Princess Leonor is getting ready to serve in the Spanish army. She will be admitted to the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, and her duties will start on August 17. Although the princess must report to the academy first thing in the morning, there are rumors that this could be complicated due to the photographers and paparazzi who will want to record this moment in the new stage of the young lady. Despite the princess’ age, she will have to fulfill her duties in the armed forces just like any other child of the royal family.

The Spanish press reportedly stated that Princess Leonor, who is a minor and does not have any military experience, “will have to sign a document of incorporation to the armed forces, and after this she will be appointed student with the rank of lady cadet.” However, the armed forces also demand that to avoid album type injuries expect that each of their cadets are in top shape so it is rumored that Princess Leonor in a few weeks will undergo physical training.
