King Charles III is highly interested in the future of Prince William’s children and he does not want them to repeat the same mistakes made by him in the past. Although they are members of the royal family, he wants them to live their lives in a normal way and to always follow their own hearts.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are part of the new and upcoming generation of royals. Chandrika Kaul, a professor of Modern History at the University of St Andrews, recently commented on a documentary that was broadcast earlier this week on Channel 5 about the royal grandchildren.
“I think King Charles is very keen that his grandchildren don’t make the mistakes that I think he feels he made, particularly when it came to matters of the heart.”
She also added that Charles has clearly had a troubled life full of scandals so it is not surprising that he wants his descendants to be completely happy and live their lives without any kind of pressure:
“What I think he wants to do is try and help these young grandchildren grow up in as normal a way as possible and create more fully rounded human beings who are unafraid of their emotions and who are able to have the confidence to marry whom they want and to have a happy, successful and fulfilled personal life.”
It is important to remember that King Charles III’s reputation crumbled down and the image of the royal family was almost ruined after his failed marriage with the late Princess Diana when he was caught cheating with his now-wife, Queen Camilla.
