In recent days, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been involved in a terrifying car chase in New York after being chased by a car of paparazzi desperately seeking photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. For his part, the UK Prime Minister was not aware of the incident, saying ‘it’s not my priority‘.
Prince Harry and his mother-in-law, Doria Ragland, attended the ‘Women of Vision’ event to accompany Meghan Markle, who would receive an award for her acts in support of women around the world. However, after finishing the ceremony, the three left the place in a car that was later followed by paparazzi.

The car chase, which would have lasted approximately two hours, was described by the Prince as “near-catastrophic” and required the intervention of the New York police. Despite the news was trending in various media outlets, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said he was “not aware of one particular incident“.
Sunak clarified during an interview at a summit in Japan that his job as prime minister is to guarantee the security of the population in his country and not of those who are outside it. In addition, he said that cars on the streets of the United States, and therefore the event that the Dukes of Sussex experienced, are not his priorities.
“Cars in New York are not really my priority or my responsibility“, said Sunak.
