Despite the news was trending in various media outlets, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said he was “not aware of one particular incident“.
Sunak clarified during an interview at a summit in Japan that his job as prime minister is to guarantee the security of the population in his country and not of those who are outside it. In addition, he said that cars on the streets of the United States, and therefore the event that the Dukes of Sussex experienced, are not his priorities.
“Cars in New York are not really my priority or my responsibility“, said Sunak.
