Following the frantic pursuit of Prince Harry and his wife by hostile photographers last Tuesday night, PEOPLE magazine has revealed that witnesses to the chase have supplied new information on the potentially fatal pursuit.
Witnesses to the near-fatal event that alarmed the Prince Harry and his wife on Tuesday night in New York City have chosen to come forward. A representative for the royal couple told the media that the car chase lasted for around two hours.
The media assured that being a public figure entails a certain degree of interest from the press, but it should not be done at the expense of the integrity of any person. Witnesses claimed that journalists and photographers chasing the Sussexes almost committed a multitude of accidents and collisions with other drivers, even two police officers were involved.
The NYPD weighed in on the situation and sent PEOPLE magazine with a statement in which they verified that the police officers supported the Prince Harry team and impeded the abusive paparazzi task.
“The NYPD assisted the private security team protecting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. There were a large number of paparazzi who were unable to mobilize in their transports. Prince and Princess Sussex arrived safely at their destination and there were no reports of any collisions, citations, injuries or arrests in this regard.” Said the statement issued by the authorities last Wednesday to the media.
