BTS’ RM is currently causing a stir on social media due to his recent comments about his physical appearance. The group’s fans, the so-called ARMY, are flooding the social media channels of the artist with messages of disagreement and also support.
The South Korean rapper was chosen for the cover of the June issue of Vogue Korea. For the photoshoot, he decided to wear attire from the Italian luxury fashion house Bottega Veneta as he has been an official ambassador for the brand since April of this year.
As it is tradition, a reporter for the prestigious magazine accompanied the idol during his photo shoot and interviewed him. During the session that took place at the Korea Furniture Museum, RM was asked about what he wanted to accomplish with his Vogue cover and what impression his fans will have about it.
“My fans are right to expect not just photos that are pleasing to the eye but that also express who I am, what I’m thinking, what I believe. There are so many other people who would be more pleasant to look at on the cover than me. Since I’m doing this with Bottega Veneta, I’m also hoping that the brand’s philosophy will come through, but in a less obvious way.”
Finally, he could not hide his excitement as it was his first official photoshoot without BTS and he had a cover all by himself. After the interview was published, RM’s followers used several social media channels to show their disagreement with his comments about himself and made it clear that they think he is beautiful and should have better self-esteem.
