Kate Middleton and Prince William are accused of trying to overshadow King Charles III’s coronation

Kate Middleton and Prince William might have tried to overshadow King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s coronation. The ceremony took place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey and even though it was a huger success, some people think that the royal couple tried to steal all the spotlight.

According to Sarah Vine from the Daily Mail, the Prince and Princess of Wales had a manipulative and selfish attitude. They released a set of videos where they showed the behind-the-scenes of the ceremony but most of the content is them talking about themselves.

“Wasn’t the coronation about Charles and Camilla? It’s lovely, and they really are an idyllic family – but there’s something just a bit too slick about it, a bit too party political broadcast. A bit, dare I say it, manipulative. I’d (almost) rather watch one of Harry’s worthy documentaries.”

Vine also added that the videos were a premature decision by Kensington Palace and that their image could be tainted. “It’s superficial, one-dimensional, like one of those adverts you see on TV in foreign hotels extolling the virtues of this or that tourist destination.” According to her, the videos show them in a very different light to what the public is used to.
