Prince George is currently being praised on social media due to his impeccable appearance during King Charles III’s coronation. However, some royal experts believe that he could become a lonely king once he ascends to the British throne in the future.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s coronation took place on May 6 at Westminster and people all over the world witnessed the historic event. In addition, the line of succession to the British throne was finally updated now that Charles is king. Prince William is next in line followed by his children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis respectively.
However, it was recently revealed that Charles wants to significantly reduce expenses and slim down the monarchy. According to royal journalist Angella Mollard, this could have serious consequences for the royals who are next in the line of succession.
“The new King wants a ‘slimmed down’ monarchy but looking at this image, he could find himself with a burnt-out monarchy if the older generation, including himself and the Queen, become ill or infirm, leaving Kate and William to do it all.”
She also expresses that Prince George will likely suffer the worst consequences: “Will Charlotte and Louis be allies and working royals as Princess Royal and Duke of Edinburgh are to the King? Or will this redacted royal family leave our future King stranded on his own?”
Although George will not become king for a few more decades, the fact that the monarchy could be slimmed down in the next few years will lead to serious consequences and future kings will not have the same support that Charles currently has.
