Prince Harry could be dealing with an inferiority complex since a couple of years ago according to a close source to the prince. Harry has been considered the most problematic member of the royal family because of the several attacks and declarations against the royal family in his memoir, Spare, and his Netflix docuseries.
In the last few days, details about the writing process of Harry’s memoir were revealed. J.R. Moehringer was the person in charge of bringing Prince Harry’s experiences to life. However, he confessed that it was hard to work with him.
The ghostwriter revealed in an interview that it was a very difficult process because there were some ideas that could not be included in the book: “Harry couldn’t escape the wish that ‘Spare’ might be a rebuttal to every lie ever published about him” adding that “Harry dreams of endless retractions.”
Moehringer also commented that during the endless confrontations they had regarding the ideas of the book, Prince Harry told him that he suffers from an inferiority complex because many people, including the royal family, have always questioned his intellect which led him to live a life full of insecurities
Moehringer made a marvelous job helping him go through this situation, letting the prince know it was not necessary to tell negative stories in order to gain attention from the public and advising him to tell his truth: “I’d worked hard to understand the ordeals of Harry Windsor, and now I saw that I understood nothing. Empathy is thin gruel compared with the marrow of experience.”
