Prince Harry‘s recent visit to the United Kingdom surprised every one because of how short it was. However, a royal security expert claimed that it was logistically impossible for Harry to visit Buckingham Palace after the coronation because he rushed to Heathrow Airport to fly back to the United States.
It was recently reported that the Duke of Sussex made a quick stop at Buckingham Palace before arriving at the airport to pay homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II. However, not everyone believes this story as there was no way that he could have stopped off at the Palace in such a short timeframe.
According to Ken Wharfe in an interview with MailOnline, Harry’s thigh schedule in the United Kingdom did not leave any room for changes and he had to stick to what was previously planned:
“From the West End to Heathrow, you’re looking at about 35 minutes under police escort, that’s the quickest you’re ever going to do it. My own view is I can’t see any point in him going to the Palace, there’d be nobody there to receive him anyway and all his family was there at the Abbey for the Coronation.”
Photographs also demonstrated that Prince Harry left Westminster Abbey and entered a black BMW at 13:15. Then, he was seen at the entrance of the airport around 13:50. Although some people wanted Harry to spend more time with his family, he had to leave immediately so he could celebrate Prince Archie’s birthday and that left no room for quick stops or meetings.
