This well-known actor has acknowledged that he would have found the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla Parker, which occurred at least a week ago, to be highly amusing and “could not stop laughing” virtually the entire ceremony.
More than 2000 people attended the historic event last Saturday, May 6, at Westminster Abbey as a result of King Charles III and the Queen’s invitation to them. It was also broadcast by various media outlets so that anyone who was interested in the event could watch a little of it.
For actor and comedian John Cleese, the coronation was a farce despite its importance. He asserts that the actor admitted to not being able to take the event seriously and even compared it to Monty Python parodies through the media outlet Express UK.
“All those people in these silly costumes, all taking things so seriously,” the actor expressed. He also noted that the Archbishop of Canterbury “should have practiced putting on the crown,” referring to the acrobatics he had to perform to place the crown on Queen Camilla Parker and her husband, the King Charles III.
