Tom Holland, a well-known British actor, confesses that he was on the verge of a breakdown and needed to see a psychiatrist to deal with what he was going through.
The 26-year-old actor who portrays Spider-Man might be experiencing his best acting moment to date because other film franchises have asked Tom Holland to play leading roles in some films or series that have been and will continue to be extremely popular with each release. The Crowded Room, a series that could have led to several poor sequels, is the actor’s current project and is being presented on Apple TV+.
He said that Tom Holland visited various psychologists and researched mental health in order to play his part to perfection, as reported on the Daily Mail website:
“Learning about mental health and its power, and talking to psychiatrists about Danny (his character) and Billy’s struggles, has been something that has been very informative for my own life,” Tom said in an interview.
The actor said that while he was accustomed to being completely exhausted at the conclusion of an action movie scene, the physical and mental demands of his new character have hit him hard, and he has had a difficult time regaining his composure to return to reality.
“I could see myself in it, but in my personal life, I remember having a little meltdown at home and thinking, “I’m going to shave my head. I need to shave my head, because I need to get rid of this character,” “And, obviously, we were in the middle of filming, so I decided not to… It was different than anything I had ever experienced before,” the actor commented.
Tom Holland’s admirers hope he can get over this stage quickly and tell him that they hope to see him on the big screens very soon. There are speculations that Tom Holland will be visiting some professionals in search of being able to aid him based on the mental breakdown he is going through.
