At the coronation party on May 7, Prince William paid tribute to his father King Charles III. In his message, he also mentioned a significant member of the royal family and assured them that he must undoubtedly be keeping an eye on them from above.
The crowning of King Charles III and his wife Camilla Parker, both 74, took place yesterday at Westminster Abbey in front of more than 2,000 guests. After that, on May 7, a lavish coronation concert with international stars such singer Katy Perry was organized.
The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William entered the stage of the event and began speaking in an emotional tribute to his father:
“I want to say a few words about my father and why I think this weekend is so important”, “but do not worry unlike Lionel I will not go on all night”, then he was referring to the king as “pa” and not as king, and expressed “we are all very proud of you”.
Prince William also recalled his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, saying that she was undoubtedly “watching over you” from heaven since “coronations are a declaration of our hopes for the future, as my grandmother said when she was crowned.”
Princess Charlotte was delighted to see her father urging and pointing to her brother, Prince George, from the front row so that he could watch the special occasion.
