As many Americans are fans and supporters of the late Princess Diana, one of the countries most interested in the coronation was the United States, which historically had strong ties to the British royal family due to its colonial past.

According to EXPRESS UK magazine, it commented that many Americans were outraged by the coronation that took place. There are also other reasons why the royal family receives backlash in the United States, mostly because they acted negatively towards Meghan Markle in the past.
Several Americans are so outraged that they called the ceremony “old-fashioned” and “abhorrent“. So Meghan Markle’s fans decided to turn off their televisions before the event in protest. Criticism in networks against the royals were diverse, and apparently will increase over time.
