Kate Middleton and Prince William continue to be one of the most popular and beloved figures of the British royal family despite all the controversies. In addition, their children, Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte, are quickly becoming international figures.

Although they are still children, they have constantly been in the spotlight since they were born and receive a lot of support from the British people. Recently the meaning and inspiration behind Princess Charlotte’s full name were revealed and it caused a heartwarming reaction among the public and on social media.

According to the Daily Mail, the Princess’ name is an homage to three very important royal members. Two days later after she was born with the royal blessing of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Kate Middleton and Prince William decided to name her Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

Her name is an homage to King Charles III as Charlotte is the female version of Charles, Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana. Some royal experts have claimed that the name Diana was chosen by Prince William himself to keep the memory of his late mother alive.
