Meghan Markle might have decided to not attend King Charles III and Camilla Parker’s coronation ceremony to protect her peace. The former actress is reportedly going to stay in the United States to celebrate Prince Archie’s birthday.
Meghan became an official member of the royal family after marrying Prince Harry in 2018. However, some members of the family did not approve of the relationship and advised Harry to stay away from her due to her color of skin. As a result, the couple decided to give up on their royal titles two years later.
During the last few months, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been very outspoken and critical of the royal family. The release of their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, and Harry’s memoir, Spare, were the final nail in the coffin of the relationship between the two families which continue to drift apart.
According to PageSix, Meghan is aware of the attention that she would bring if she attended King Charles III’s coronation. As a result, she would rather stay in America to celebrate his son’s birthday than become the center of attention and completely overshadow the event. It looks like she is trying to avoid more controversies at all costs to protect her image.
