King Charles III is facing a new challenge even though his reign has not even started yet. Earlier this week, a new survey in which the British people were asked about their support to the King days before the official coronation was revealed.
Charles’s coronation is going to take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey and the event is shaping up to be the most important one of the year. A ceremony like this has not been celebrated in the United Kingdom since 70 years ago when the late Queen Elizabeth II was crowned.
According to EXPRESS UK, ITV News surveyed almost two thousand adults from different age ranges in regard to their opinion about the monarchy and if they support King Charles III’s reign or not. However, the results were shocking.
The survey showed that popular opinion is divided in the country. According to the report, only 39% of the population between 18 and 34 years old supported King Charles III. On the other hand, the support for the king increases according to the age of the person. It was revealed that the older the participants are, the more likely they are to support him.
Despite that, young adults are the main focus of King Charles III. After the ceremony is over, a concert will be held at Windsor Castle with the purpose of attracting new generations and earning their support. However, it is still unknown if his plan will work.
